Faces at FamilyLife:
All of the FamilyLife team have a passion for Jesus Christ and the family, for bringing biblical principles home, and for making family life a place where learning, fun, and teamwork are just as important as the results. So come and meet some of the people who make up our team and discover what they have to say about their backgrounds, work experiences, and lives outside of working with FamilyLife.
The Challenge:
Australia is in serious times. The family is under siege as never before and its structure is collapsing. We have a younger generation who have been burned by their own parents divorce. As a result, there is an increased cynicism to marriage in Australia with almost 1 million couples living together unmarried. A third of our nations children are being born outside the context of marriage. FamilyLife needs men and women who say “enough is enough”. As a FamilyLife missionary, you will be able to influence the lives of thousands. These are serious times, but they are times of immense opportunity. We invite you to be a part of a grand work that God is doing!
The Opportunity:
As a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ Australia, FamilyLife is reaching thousands of families through events, radio broadcasts, small group studies, resources, and the Internet. Still, we feel like we are only scratching the surface. There are over five million families in Australia and we have a heightened awareness that more families need to hear God’s truths for marriage and family. To reach them, additional full-time missionaries are essential—people who want to help leave a legacy of changed lives.
The pivotal issue facing Australia today is not crime, education, or the environment. It is the spiritual condition of families.
Come join our team:
Dedicated to reaching homes for Christ, our existing FamilyLife team comes from many backgrounds and personalities including managers, counsellors, scientists, contractors. These men and women who comprise the FamilyLife team are headquartered in Mulgrave; a south-eastern suburb of Melbourne.
FamilyLife missionaries assemble a team of ministry partners who provide for their monthly salary, ministry expenses, and benefits. Comprehensive training is provided to equip new team members with the proper tools and methods to successfully raise their support. Some are called to "go," others are called to "send." Raising support allows you to involve others in your ministry and to discover, through faith, that when God calls, He also enables just as He did with our existing FamilyLife team. So, please do not ever let raising financial support be the obstacle to joining our team.
God is using FamilyLife to be a catalyst for change—. As Jesus said it “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.”
